Hadiqato Akhbaaril Hudatil Yemen
Wafaat: 19th Zilqadatil haraam 872H/ 28th June 1468 AD, Shibaam, Al-Yemen.
Al-Da`il ajal Syedna Idris Imaduddin (RA) is the 19th Da`i and the 13th from the descendants of Banil Waleed; the fruits of the du`a mubarak of Rasulallah (SA).
Syedna Idris’s distinctions have been categorised in three ways;
1. In jihaad
2. In knowledge
3. In the preparation for the transfer of the barakaat of D`awat to Hind.
1. Jihaad
When it was necessary to go for jihaad in the midst of gales and stormy rain, Molana did so. The animals with them suffered worn feet yet Molana remained undeterred and continued on his trk.
2. Knowledge
Molana Idris had a superlative writing ability, both prose and poetry, with many pieces on any number of subjects to his name. In particular Molana collated in breadth and depth the history of D`awat including specific references to places. For example Imam Mehdi (SA) had said “Dajjaal will reach to this place and stop”, Molana Idris specified which spot was being referred to. Similarly Molana pinpointed the spot where Dajjaal would be captured, a place referred to in previous books by its visual appearance. Thus Molana Idris put the history of the Maghreb into writing while seated in The Yemen.. His writings include - the celebrated Uyuunul Akhbaar (7 volumes), Nuzhatul Afkaar and Zahrul M`aani.
3. The transfer of D`awat to Hind
A foreigner from India arrived whom Molana called near and embraced.He seated him ahead of 300 huduud which bore heavily upon them. Molana instructed that the water bearer in the house of the Wali of HInd be instituted as the head of all Mumineen affairs there and the Wali and all Mumineen prayed behind him.
Molana told the people of Yemen of this and forewarned them that the D`awat would leave for Hind.
Molana Idris conferred nas upon Syedna Hasan Badruddin (RA) and passed away, his qubba was built by Syedna Ali bin Syednal Husain (RA).
In the time of Syedna Mohammed Ezzuddin, Sharafuddin Zaidi (l.a.) demolished the grave and turned the qubba into a storage room.
